I must be missing something. This pillow is no better than the same foam pillow I purchased at Wal-Mart for a FRACTION of the cost. Neither offers a COOLING effect. The Polar Pillow is just an over priced way over-priced foam pillow. I expected a cooling effect when using the pillow. No such luck. As for washing it, when the time comes, I dread doing so. I'm afraid it won't fit in the washing machine, and if it does, no matter how gentle the washing cycle, I feel that it will disintegrate. Why is it called a POLAR pillow. You would expect some sort of polar=cooling effect. No such thing. Are you suppose to put it in your freezer to cool it? Obviously it wouldn't even fit in a freezer. I keep reading about the soothing sleep effects from cooling the head, either a pillow or a "cooling" cap. Neither works. Trust me. I've been taken in by both. I would be better off using a simple bandana that is soaked, wrung out and placed in the freezer for a short period of time. In these especially tight economic times, being ripped off for the over priced "Polar" pillow is a true waste of money.
