ProBand BandIT Forearm Band - One size fits most

The ProBand BandIT is the only medically designed device which works with the human anatomy to aid in the relief of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Tennis Elbow pain without cutting off circulation, hampering movement or causing uncomfortable swelling. The BandIT utilizes Anatomically Focused Dynamic Compression¨ to turn the natural action of the forearm into a natural pump. Unlike other bands which create a tourniquet effect and can cause uncomfortable tissue swelling, the BandIT allows normal circulation (blood flow) and, unlike most competitive products, may be worn for long periods of time with complete comfort. It is simple to apply and it works in a completely new and unique manner. It is highly effective in relieving pain commonly associated with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Tendonitis. It is a superior aid for tennis, golf, weightlifting, bowling, racquetball and activities such as the use of keyboards, which result in RSIs. It stimulates the body's natural healing process by increasing blood flow and oxygen, by reducing inflammation and muscle spasm and by producing a subtle warmth at the painful site.

  • Can be worn for long periods of time with compete comfort or hampering daily movements

  • Band-it elbow support is a unique device that treats pain associated with tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome.

  • Completely Latex-Free

  • One size fits most.

5Good for Tennis Elbow  Apr 15, 2010
By tennis pro
Looking for some good treatments for tennis elbow, I came across the book Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow. In it, the book recommends using one of these forearm bands, also known as counterforce braces. Apparently they don't know exactly how these things help decrease tennis elbow pain, but they work. The current theory is that tennis elbow is a problem with the tendon of one of your forearm muscles. Putting this brace near the tendon of the problem muscle takes pressure off the tendon, giving it a chance to heal. Some of the studies quoted in the book also show these braces can increase your arm strength as well as decrease pain- so there's a lot of benefit to be gained by using one.

Now the first problem you might imagine you'd have is one of comfort. These things have to be on snug to take pressure off the forearm tendon or they're useless. Of course more pressure usually means LESS comfort. That's where this little baby comes in- its designed to get around the issues of cutting off your circulation. Now it is made of two pieces of plastic, so its a little more rigid than the soft braces, but its padded with foam and the plastic does give- so it ends up being both firm and comfortable.

The way I see it, forearm bands can't help you if you're not able to wear them. So if you've tried other bands, give this one a shot- it's a little different than the others and well worth a try. I'd also urge sufferers to do a few of the specialized exercises in the book to prevent recurrences or for those who find they simply can't stand wearing the brace.

3Better Suggestion  Jun 03, 2010
By Careful Reviewer
This is ok, but it does cause pinching at the edges of the support pads. They supposedly are bendable, but they return to their original shape very quickly, so you can't rely upon that. Additionally, after trying to bend it - just to the point where it was flat, the plastic began to tear.

I tried several different bands for tennis elbow. The one I found to be best is the Mueller Hg80 Tennis Elbow Brace. It is available on Amazon.

5BandIT is simply the best in its class  Jul 21, 2006
By Farley X Wilbur
I've suffered from occasional bouts of tendonitis and the consequential irritation of the ulnar nerve for many years. I have an active work and sports life, so my activities sometimes result in injuries that once took weeks or months to to heal. Until I found BandIT I had no choice but to completely rest my arm and use anti-inflammatory medicine. I've also learned the use of the BandIt during potentially injurious activities can completely prevent the injury to begin with.

While I didn't purchase BandIT through Amazon, I've owned one for more than five years and in that time it has managed to prevent the injury or shorten the recovery period from tendonitis and reduced the need for anti-inflammatory drugs, all the while allowing me to continue to work and participate in sports. While I do need to take some extra precautions against reinjury, I've never found another product, including the Futuro tendonitis brace and other similar bands, that have duplicated the results of this product. Bottom line: the BandIt places pressure at the exact two points necessary to releive 90% of the stress on the tendon, allowing it to recover and heal. I still recommend the use of ice for the first 48 hours, and then alternating ice and heat until the inflammation is completely gone. P.S. the KneedIt product for the knee works just as well for similar knee problems. Great healing products, great preventive products!!

4I like it, but had to modify it  Oct 18, 2009
By Bubba M.
I've tried seven different braces for my tennis elbow. Of them all, this one does the best but I did have to modify it a little for the best performance.

I went to the hardware store and bought that dense felt that's used to cushion chair legs and glued a small circle of it to the foam, right under the BandIt Logo.

The foam presses on my forearm, right where it needs to, and I finally get relief!

5Finally, one that works!  Jan 24, 2010
By K. Flynn
As a computer programmer, I spend many hours a day at the keyboard. A change in office furniture 20 years ago resulted in a really bad case of 'tennis elbow'. While I have had some luck with adjusting keyboard height and angle, too much damage was done to ever fully recover from it. I have used the cloth 'strap' types of elbow support for 20 years, with ever increasing frustration. Either they slide down my arm, the velcro stops sticking even when cleaned out, causing it to constantly come undone, or the velcro gets stuck to the sleeve material. And the pain never quite goes away.

That said, I can't say enough good things about this unit. For the first time, I am actually pain free the entire time I wear this. It stays in place and the velcro strap does not catch in my clothing. I highly recommend it to others who suffer from too much typing. Do make every attempt to make your workplace ergonomically correct, but if you are like me and it is too late to undo the damage, buy this product!
