The ProBand¨ Ankle BandIT helps relieve pain and swelling often associated with chronic ankle sprains, arthritis, bursitis and tendonitis. It eases discomfort commonly experienced with degenerative joint disease (osteoarthritis) of the ankle. It is recommended for individuals suffering from synovitis and plantar fasciitis. The ProBand¨ Ankle BandIT comes with two removable and adjustable compression pads which are anatomically contoured to apply intermittent soft tissue compression to the lining of the ankle joint, thus aiding in the reduction of swelling and pain. When worn as directed, The ProBand¨ Ankle BandIT will not cut off circulation or hamper movement. This device is lightweight, machine washable and may be worn comfortably for long periods of time, with or without the pads, with or without shoes.

Ankle BandIT helps reduce pain associated with tendonitis, bursitis and chronic ankle sprains.
Removable pads provide targeted soft tissue compression .
Caution: Not recommended for those with diabetes or poor circulation.
UBL nylon, neoprene pads and nylon hook-and-loop straps.

Surprisingly effective Nov 30, 2008

I was skeptical about this, because there was only one size. I have VERY large ankles, and even extra large items are often tight. When I tried these on, I was surpised that I couldn't get them tight no matter how I tried. I figured they were worthless, but left them on. After all day, I couldn't feel them at all. But when I took them off, there was a definite indentation where the pads were. My ankles were not swollen, and they felt good. It was clearly doing something, but did it very "quietly".

They lost one star because the velcro has to be aligned exactly right, or it can scrape your skin. I wish product manufacturers would be more aware of this, and make the downward facing velcro attachment a hair smaller.

This ankle brace really worked. My husband read other reviews, were others have tied it and decided to give it a try. It was the only thing that gave him relief from the ankle pain.
