Definitely helps, especially with localized pain! Also saves pressure on finger joints for doing the same thing. Only so long you can press into an area without causing stress on your joints. I have fibromyalgia and this has definitely helped this and sciatic pain.

I have one of these in the car, and I keep one in my pocket when I'm out and about. The sphere is the right size to put a comfortable amount of pressure. The problem is leverage, and if you want to use it on your back that presents an issue. For that, I use the Back Buddy.
