I recently lost a big toenail due to injury and this was perfect for keeping the toe covered and protected during the day. I take it off at night to let the toe breathe and so far it's working out great. The moisturizing gel inside keeps the skin soft which I think will help when the nail starts growing back in. I had been searching for something to protect my toe and this was just exactly what I was looking for. If you have especially large toes it might be too tight, though mine are not exactly small and it's snug enough to stay on well but not too tight to be uncomfortable. It's washable and I think it will last a few weeks at least. I plan to keep one on hand as a backup since it will take a few months for my nail to grow back. This product helps make an uncomfortable, traumatic and potentially painful condition much easier to deal with.

I walk 3 miles a day & was having problems with bruising on the nail beds of my big toes. I tried different shoes & insole pads & nothing seemed to work. I have been using these for several weeks & it seems to do the job. Easy on & off. I have been told they are available at podiatrist offices.

Basically the product is well constructed, but I needed cushioning on the big toe and this simply was too tight a fit.

Exactly what I was looking for to protect the big toe. You can cut them to size and they work great.
