Firm lumbar roll works for some Jul 30, 2007
By George Shipley This D-section lumbar roll is bigger and firmer than the McKenzie Super Roll Lumbar Support which I prefer. I do ergonomic adjustments for employees in their work stations and this lumbar roll is too big and too firm for most people who try it. It does work for those who like to sit forward in their chairs and still get some lumbar support. I provide about 6 of the Super Rolls each month and only give one of these away every 6 months.

Great product Nov 06, 2006
By C. Burnett For anyone with low back or other back pain, which is aggravated by prolonged sitting, the McKenzie D-Section Lumbar roll is a great product. Because of the elastic straps, it can be moved up or down in the chair to support the area of back pain. It is also portable so that it can be used in a vehicle as well. I like the fact that is is a "D" shape as opposed to a circular roll. I also like the fact that it has a washable cover. It certainly has relieved my back pain and supported my back. I recently had back surgery, and while I am healing, I use the Lumbar Roll just above my incision area which allows back support and yet does not put pressure on the surgical site itself.

Better for desk chair Nov 29, 2007
By D. Andrianos
"bad back guy"
This item works better in a desk chair. The super roll from McKenzie works better in the car because of the smaller size.

Lumbar support comments May 25, 2008
By Riding Tall I found that this support fits the car seat pretty well, except that it needs to be adjusted each time I get in and out. The lower part of the seat back tapers, and since it is leather rather than cloth, each time you get out the support's elastic causes it to pull all the way down to the seat bottom. I don't believe any other support would fare any better however, unless it had some kind of adhesive to hold it to the seat back, which I think would be undesirable/impractical. I suspect everyone will find the support feels _way_ too large when they first try it. However, the foam seems to relax after the first few uses and it becomes quite comfortable. - overall I'd recommend it.

Exactly what the Dr ordered!! Oct 28, 2007
By Deb G. Although I do have a very expensive thermopedic computer chair, my back therapist recommended this exact lumbar support for me. It works perfectly and is exactly what he suggested. You can not go wrong and it was delivered promptly!
