Muscletrac and Triggerpoint Grid for marathoners Jul 05, 2011
By bunny
"broussca"
I bought the Muscletrac about 1.5 years ago and use it regularly, especially before and after a race. Before a race, I use the Muscletrac on my shins to "warm" them up. I find that repeated rolling (say, sitting in the car before the race) helps with shin splints at the start. After a race, the knobby wheels hurt...but they hurt so good! At that point, I try to use the Muscletrac roller all over (thighs, shoulders, gluteus maximus) as best I can because it does indeed help with recovery. I don't use it daily. I also have a Stick and a foam covered Triggerpoint Grid (also purchased from Amazon). While it is a bit harder to use (takes work), I would have to say the Grid is my favorite, followed by the Muscletrac. I take the Muscletrac roller on trips because it's small and fits in my suitcase, but when I'm home I use the Grid much more often (as in nearly every day for shins, thighs, hips, back...); it's really like a masseuse/masseurMuscletracTriggerPoint Smart Core DVD and Revolutionary Foam Roller GRID Bundle in a cylinder!

muscletrac review Mar 24, 2012
By eric my wife and i have been using the muscletrac for about 3 weeks,it is very high quality and does exactly what it is suppose to. I wasnt sold on the concept of rolling each muscle group for 2 minutes before a run, versus warming up and then doing conventional stretching. But it really works.I still run through some conventional stretching out of habit, but these rollers really get the juices flowing.I also bought the short tiger tail roller,it works but when you roll over looser clothes like shorts and certain tights, the roller doesnt turn as it should.may need a drop of lube under roller.Worth the money,i would recommend both. we both use them before and after our run.Hope this helps someone undecided.
Buy this! May 06, 2012
By Abed23 If you suffer from strained/tight muscles (especially in your legs) this is a must! I used to be very sore after sports activities and ever since I started using this, the soreness is gone! Excellent product!
AMAZING May 02, 2012
By NickSquared I was given this as a present for Christmas last year and thought it was a silly thing and it would be just another present sitting in a closet collecting dust. With the new year I started increasing my miles on runs while training for a marathon and have been quite sore. I started using the foam roller I also got for Christmas but sometimes I just couldn't get to it due to time. This is an awesome tool to be able to grab and work on those muscles when you can't get on the ground and roll. I can sit at my desk at work or while we drive to the in-laws (30 min away)I don't know where I would be without this handy little thing. Really helps keep the muscles loose and ready to put on more miles. I LOVE IT!!!

By Arlene Deardorff This is a great product for an active person. If your muscles are tight you just roll the Muscletrac over the tight area. It only takes a few minutes to use.
