Decent but not great Jan 07, 2010
By David Gallego I use this primarily for basketball as I broke my nose several months ago. The piece is extremely uncomfortable by the cheek. In addition, the plastic obscures the view in many angles therefore diminishing ones individual play.

Not for soccer Aug 10, 2008
By Robert F. Kurth I suppose there are some sports for which this nose guard would work well, but I'm at a loss to name any of them. My son, who actually wore it, should probably write the review.
Evidently soccer is not one of them. He found that his vision was severely impaired especially in bright light. Mind you, he is glad that we purchased it because he would not have played at all if he did not protect himself.
On the other hand with four children I have paid bills for a torn ACL, two broken legs, a broken wrist and several trips to the orthopedist for sore knees. Impaired vision on the field is an invitation for another visit.
Best to skip this purchase. Wait four weeks and play without impairment, instead.

It offers protection, but... Aug 16, 2007
By Randi Evanson I broke my nose and bought this product to wear post surgery playing ultimate frisbee. This product offers protection, yes, but the clear plastic piece over the nose messes with depth perception and the foam pads that rest on your cheeks make it hard to see anything below your chin. I wish I could have gotten one more like the ones they have in the NBA.
Perfect for Karate Jan 19, 2010

Perfect for what I was looking for. I am a Karate addict and I needed this for my sparring class. Plan to use it post-surgery on my nose. Tested it by having someone punch me with 65% force straight to the nose. I got dizzy by my nose was untouched!
Not for every sport Oct 21, 2009
By Joseph Mosso Although the nose guard gave some protection for my son after he broke his nose, I would not recommend it completely for soccer. His peripheral vision downwards was obstructed giving him less feel of where the ball was and decreasing his ball control so it took a week or 2 to get used to it. He only had to wear it for three weeks.
