Perfect for Backpacking Oct 25, 2009

I used to use Moleskin for blister prevention on backpacking trips. I tried this on my recent 6 day trip where we covered 50 miles. Loved this tape! It sticks well, one roll will last a LONG time, and is thinner than moleskin. My daughter had fairly new boots and by putting this tape on the 'hot' spots, none turned into blisters.

Being an international competitive rower I was introduced to this product by my physio way back in 2001 because (at that time) I had an injury which needed a tape that wouldn't fall off...even if it got wet!
This tape is fantastic! I use it on and off the water to prevent blisters on my hands and fingers...it repels water and even if I wash my hands it still sticks extremely well!
It may be a little on the expensive side but the roll will last you for a long time. It is easy to tear off a piece without using scissors, it is very comfortable and does not irritate the skin.
In my opinion, it is the BEST SPORTS TAPE WORLD WIDE!!!!!! You can use it for pretty much anything and is like duck tape but for athletes!

I tape my feet due to Plantar Fasciitis and you can use regular athletic tape which is slightly cheaper but it doesn't work as well. Leukotape is easier to work with, more waterproof, and stays on better. It's well worth the little bit of extra money and I plan to keep using it so long as it stays around $9 per roll.

This is the stickiest tape I have ever encountered which is exactly what I want. It is remarkably light, seems to breathe and doesn't come off when wet. Leukotape P Sportstape 1.5 Inches X 15 Yards

I didn't like Moleskin for blister prevention on backpacking trips as it just comes off and causes more problems. This tape, however, sticks even on top of BodyGlide Anti-Chafing Stick 2.5oz or petroleum jelly. No more blisters! This is also my preferred bandaid for a foot blister (with some neosporin) when I forget to use it before hiking - it will stay for days and yet still come off. Highly recommended.
