5skin saver bandaging tape  Apr 24, 2010
By Cecilia W. Vanderbout "cecilia"
I love this tape! Found it after surgery on the tip of my nose leaving an open wound that I had to wash, apply vaseline, and re-bandage at least twice a day. The tip of the nose is a hard spot to bandage: ran the paper tape up the bridge of my nose, either side of the nose, etc. Pulling the tape off became increasingly painful as the skin became increasingly raw. On a check-up trip the nurse re-bandaged with a wonderful tape: it would stretch a bit and, more importantly, came off the skin with no harm to the skin. And it could be reapplied at least once. When I couldn't find it at the local pharmacy, they suggested I call the Doctor's office. They gave me the name (Hypafix) but didn't know where to buy it locally; suggested the internet.
Of course, I went to Amazon.com; paid the extra price to receive it the next day (already have premium shipping). The call was made at 5 pm; product arrived before 10 am. THE FAST DELIVERY WAS REALLY APPRECIATED BY MY SKIN!! I carried this wonderful tape with me for my 3 months in Florida. Unfortunately, I got a bad cut on my ankle; medics felt stitches would not hold because of my elderly thin skin. So they bandaged it and gave me extra bandaging materials for the next few days. FORTUNATELY, I HAD MY HYPAFIX. It worked well on the contours of the inner ankle area. With patient cleaning and re-bandaging, the cut has healed without incident and is nearly invisible after just 2 months.
I left my partial box in Florida; and, once home again, immediately ordered a new box (standard 2-day premium shipping this time) and have it ready for the next emergency.
AGAIN, THE AVAILABILITY AND HASTY DELIVERY WAS THE GREATEST PART OF THIS ORDER FROM AMAZON.

5Great for bowling  Jun 01, 2009

This stuff is great for tight thumb holes. Cut off a section, apply it to the top of your thumb, and the ball will slide right off.

5This is what you want to hold your bandage.  May 29, 2011
By Mark O.
This is hands down the best medical tape I have used. Expensive but it will stick on all kinds of contoured surfaces you find on the human body (bottom of feet, hands, shoulder, etc). It feels kind of like a sticky cloth and it stays put. Great product.

5Best tape for sensitive skin!  Aug 12, 2011
By Kristi Swede
Like many other reviewers, this has become "my tape" after a long search, and many painful rashes. I have my allergy sheet marked as "any 'Micropore' product," since they all cause the same contact dermatitis, as do the generic paper tapes, and whatever cheap substitutes I'm offered.

At this point, I bring my own roll of S&N Hypafix if I know I'm going to need some taping. I work in a hospital where I see all sorts of tape reactions, and they are a terrible problem for sensitive, fragile, or elderly skin. We offer all sorts of tape, but not Hypafix.

As we say when we've found the perfect cosmetic, this tape is my HG! The price is right (I don't care if my insurance covers it, and now it's available from Amazon, too), it's a perfect product for my sensitive skin, and it lasts for years if stored properly.
