This tape work better for dressing retention than any others I have tried. A doctor recommended this but could not find it in local pharmacies. Leaves no gummy residue when removed, does not irritate the skin and is eay to use. Great product.

We use this product a lot on our daughters g-tube site. We are able to tape a foam dressing to her skin without having to worry that it will hurt her skin. The taps is hypo-allergenic and really great on her sensitive skin. It holds great, and releases when wet.

I use this to hold various diabetic stuff to my skin (infusion set, tubing, glucose sensor). It's much more comfortable than most medical tapes. Softer, more flexible, and doesn't seem to irritate my skin quite so much.
The only drawback (very minor really) is that you can't tear it like regular cloth tape, you need to cut it.

It is worth a little extra to buy the Hypafix brand. I have tried Mefix and doesn't adhere as well and not quite the flexibility. I have chronic leg wounds and very fragile surrounding skin. Never a problem with this tape. No skin prep needed to protect the skin.
