This product rocks. It comes with a strap to attach it to a chair, but that misses the best use of this product. It is best when blown up just slightly and then placed between your lumbar area and chair. Best use for me is on an airplane--the slightly blown up cushion fills the space between my lower back and the airplane seat tremendously well. I also use it on long road trips--especially when traveling with someone whose car has bucket seats. And, it deflates, folds up and fits easily into a handbag or backpack.

I have a herniated disc and was in a lot of pain, especially sitting for long periods of time. Before I was to go on a long road trip, I asked my physical therapist if she knew of anything I could do to be more comfortable on the trip.
She suggested this pillow. I tried to find it locally because my trip was coming up soon! But all the shops nearby seemed to be out of stock. I had enough time that I would probably receive it from Amazon, so I ordered online. And I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly this came.
My therapist emphasized that the pillow shouldn't be used (in my case) fully blown up, but very floppy. So I blew it up and smooshed it down. It helped a great deal.

This was a re-purchase, as I keep leaving it on the airplane! I cannot travel, by car or plane, without this back pillow.... I even take it to the movies, especially if it's a long film... it makes the difference between not being able to stand up and feeling just great.

I took this pillow on a recent flight & it is awesome. Fits in your handbag, a couple
of breaths & happy back!! I also use it in my work chair, & plan on buying another
1 for my car. I 100% recommend this product.

Have Used for Years - A Real Boon Aug 24, 2008

For Phil, whose wife wants to use this in the car. I've been using this cushion for years - its portability and adjustability have been a real boon after using the cumbersome Obus Forme when it was the only game in town. However, you're right about the Medic Air being tricky in a moving vehicle when your body tends to sway about. In our car I use one of the foam lumbar supports that is shaped in such a way as to provide some lateral stability -- and then I use the Medic Air between the foam cushion & my back to relieve what would otherwise become pressure points. Works for me. Maybe it will help your wife.
