I bought this pillow for my dad because he was always waking up with a really stiff neck and his regular, soft pillow wasn't giving him the support he needed. I got him a pillow for his birthday and a month later he said the pillow was pretty firm but he gave it a chance and hasn't had to go to the chiropractor since. He did mention that you should read the packaging first because he didn't do it right away and didn't realize you kind of need to "break in" the pillow with your hands. Overall, he is very pleased and has slept better ever since he started using it.

If you have ever had neck problems this is the pillow for you. I have purchased this pillo-pedic pillow for several years now and this last purchase was just a replacement. I have used other neck pillows before that were too stiff, but this one provides the support without feeling too stiff.

I have a very bad neck!! I have had 2 total disc replacements and 1 fusion in my neck and have had another serious injury to my neck...I started sleeping on this pillow about 9 years ago and now it's the only kind of pillow I can sleep on! I have had other types of orthopedic pillows, but this is the best I've had so far!! I have to sleep on the small side b/c the wider side is just a bit too big for my smaller neck!!

My chiropractor recommended this pillow because I was often waking up with serious neck pain. After sleeping on this pillow for years, I have never had a problem with neck pain. I get a new pillow every year because they do wear down and will not give as much support. I still go to the chiropractor for maintenance adjustments but I credit this pillow for keeping me in alignment.

Warning, if you switch to this pillow you'll become a pillow snob and never go back. Seriously I switched after an accident injured my neck a few years ago. My chiro recommended it and it was the only way I could sleep. My neck healed and I tried going back to my "regular" pillow and couldn't sleep well. I love this pillow. I sleep on my side and back and its comfortable either way. There is a "thick" side and a "thin" side. I'm 5'5" and have a regular build and use the thin side. My husband is a bigger guy and uses the thick side of his. I've had mine now 6 years and it is about time for a new one but wow that's a long life for a pillow! Buy one now, you won't regret it!
