1reformulation not working  Sep 28, 2010
By Roger R. Stoffel
My wife successfully used this product for years for relief of cracks on her feet, and found it worked great on hand cracks also. The newest tubes she used no longer work at all. (I called the company and they said the product has recently been reformulated and that they are currently taking complaints/comments.) If you've used this balm in the past, it may no longer work for you (the new formula has a red triangle on the upper left of the box front).

5Fantastic product, does what it says, healed my heels!  Mar 05, 2010
By Two kids mom "scienceteachermom"
This is the only crème that healed my cracked and bleeding heels. I started by soaking my feet each night, then gently using pumice stone, coating with Heel Balm and putting on socks. After two weeks my heels were smooth and without cracks. It has a 25% concentration of synthetic urea, which seems to be the key to its success. It does sting a little when your heels are cracked, but within a couple of weeks they will be healed (heeled, hah!) and it will no longer sting. I now use every other night at bedtime to maintain my smooth feet. Wearing socks over the crème also helps. It is fairly thick crème.

My son also uses it sparingly on his dry knuckles for eczema at bedtime. It is too thick to use during the day, but it does help his hands when he uses it at night.

Highly recommend.

4Not a Miracle Product, But Good Enough  Aug 05, 2011
By k! "Longevity Counts"
I was skeptical. I'd had a bad health scare by using Callus Eliminator 34oz, which was recommended by Paula Begoun (Cosmetic Cop) in an e-mailed newletter. Since I could not imagine myself going through a full month of trying to get my feet back into some type of presentable shape, I decide to buy two tubes of Flexitol Heel Balm.

It was a great decision. Sure, the smell is strong. It's medicinal type smell; it goes away upon a hand washing (or two). I tried using a couple of gloves, but it was too much trouble. Yet using Flexitol twice a day for a few weeks really did help smooth away some cracks. In essence, it helped me able to not look at the bottom of my feet in disgust. Chicago winters for someone who doesn't get or do weekly pedicures is rough. Even semi-regular pedicures isn't enough. The callouses and fissures have been pretty bad at some points, causing pain.

After those few weeks, I went on to use the Ped-Egg and my usual slothing regime and the struggle was much less.

I started using Flexitol in Spring 2011 (March or April) and it's now August 2011. I'm halfway through the second tube. I'm wearing flip flops. I just have to put on some Flexitol lotion at night and sleep in cotton socks maybe once every couple of weeks, as well as do pedicures (soaking or not) more often, to have decent feet. My feet are decent, not perfect, and that's good enough for me.

Yet I will see how it works during the Chicago winter. That will be REAL test. Yet so far, it's given me a boost of confidence that I needed.

5Best Diabetic Footcream out there!!!!  Apr 19, 2011
By Katie Gal
I ordered Flexitol off this site bc my local Walmart stopped carrying it. I tried 3 other brands but nothing compared to Flexitol. I recommend it to anyone who asks. You will LOVE this stuff, especially if you're diabetic & need to take good care of your feet.

5The perfect remedy for dry cracked heels!!  Jul 30, 2010
By Special Education Teacher
I had dry cracked heels for years and have tried tons of different kinds of creams. I have even used Bag Balm with plastic wrap and left it on when I slept. My husband noticed all the money and time that I was putting into my feet and suggested that I use a foot spray for foot fungus. I told him that I didn't have foot fungus and was very skeptical of using a spray. I gave in and applied the spray everyday after I showered alternating with Flexitol Heel Balm at night. The Flexitol has tea tree oil, which helps remedy foot fungus. I was amazed that after several weeks my cracks have disappeared and I have smooth heels again! My mother had this same problem. It took a while to convince her to try it, but when she did, she was also amazed!! The foot spray we used was either generic Tinactin or Lamisil. I believe there are some other brands on the market and they will likely work as well!!
