As a chiropractor I know the importance of correct postural alignment and have usually tried to sit in as supportive a chair/seat as possible. I ordered this on the recommendation of a chiropractor who is treating me using Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC) technique. I have found it to be especially helpful in chairs which slope downward in the back (which many do)which tends to flatten the low back lordosis (curve). As an "active sitting tool" I also find it does help exercise the core muscles of the low back, abdomen and hips. It did have some odor to it requiring a little off-gassing, but being chemically sensitive, I didn't find it very significant. I'm appreciative of this product {other than having to move it around to different places :)}.

I bought this for a student in my class and it has been helpful in reducing her wiggles and tendency to fall out of her seat. But be aware that when you first get this item, it will need several weeks to off-gas. Otherwise the fumes are rather strong!
