Not what I expected..... Nov 05, 2009
By J. Robertson I have a bad case of tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, tendinitis....something that makes my elbow and the tendon/nerve running down the front of my arm to hurt like heck. I read a ton of information and found that ice therapy was the way to go. I searched and searched and found this product. There were a lot of reviews from people who LOVED it and only one from someone who didn't like it so much. I went with the majority.
Pros: 1. You can use the detachable packs for heat therapy or ice therapy. They are flexible and small enough to target specific areas. 2. The fact that there are two gel packs is nice. I can have one on standby for heat while the other is in the freezer. 3. The wrap stays firmly in place, even while typing, cooking, etc. 4. The wrap is washable so when it gets funky you can wash the whole contraption.
Cons: 1. It's rather an expensive item, but if you're in a lot of pain, it's worth it. 2. It looks NOTHING on your arm like it does in the picture. I purchased this one because it didn't look bulky. It looked like something I could wear at work when I needed to without looking silly. It's not. The photo is obviously without the packs velcroed inside, which adds a great big lump. 3. This "universal size" is anything but. I am a normal size woman...5'7" and 135 lbs (it's not like I am a tiny little girl or anything). This thing is totally made for a man with big arms. The elbow bend and hole are way to big for me. My elbow doesn't even go through the hole when my arm is bent and the whole get-up looks ridiculous without my arm bent because of the big empty space near the elbow. 4. The ice pack, as frozen by their instructions of 2+ hours is WAY too cold for my skin (and I don't have sensitive skin) to be directly in contact with the nylon sleeve it comes in. I have to stick a paper towel over it and try and keep it in place while I slide my arm into this contraption.
All in all, I think this is good for applying ice therapy while being able to move around and not hold the ice pack to your arm, but it is bulky. The cost is a bit high considering it's not really as slim lined and easy to use as they make it seem.

Terrific product. 100% satisfied. Oct 20, 2008

"Home Yoga Guy"
I developed tennis elbow (technically Golfer's elbow) after playing tennis 2-4 times per week for the past year. My physical therapist told me that among other things, icing the elbow after playing would be a good idea. I purchased this item and got in the habit of placing it onto my elbow immediately after playing, for the 20 minute drive home. Since doing this, my tennis elbow has gotten significantly better so I plan to continue using it forever (or at least until I buy a new one). This item is made of high quality materials. It wraps very securely around both the top and the bottom of my elbow and allows the cold packs to apply good, steady, constant contact with my elbow. I'm super happy with this product.

TO ICE OR NOT TO ICE Aug 01, 2009
By F. Millan Description of product needs to be better. I assumed the icepacks could be inserted into built in pockets of the wrap/ THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT HAVE BUILT IN POCKETS IN THE WRAP ITSELF.THE ICE PACKS ATTACH TO WRAP WITH VELCRO. I HAVE TO PUT A TOWEL OR CLOTH BETWEEN MY SKIN AND THE WRAP ELSE THE ICEPAK BURNS THE SKIN.THE GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PRODUCT THE ICE PACKS CAN BE ADJUSTED TO DIFFERENT POINTS ON YOUR ARM.

Careful with the wording of the ad regarding sizing Apr 27, 2010
By Douglas Ahmann It looks like a really nice product. But the one they sent me says "XS - Small Elbow" on the tag.
There is no way this would fit the average guy. I can't even get it around my arm with the ice packs inside.
The copy on the Amazon page says:
"Elbow Wrap Universal Size" "One Size fits most"
Both statements aren't correct.
But like I said, if this were the correct size, this would be the exact product I'm looking for. It seems really well made.
