3Convenient but loses its 'cool'  Jan 18, 2009
By DT
I have lingering pain from a high ankle sprain. I wanted something that I could take to the gym with me so I could apply immediately after my basketball game. I really like the convenience of this wrap (no ice cubes, easy to transport) but it doesn't stay cold enough to apply after a game. So, I decided to just use it around the house - straight from freezer to foot. It starts off cool (not really freezing cold) and only stays effective for 10 minutes. Depending on what you need it for, that may be enough. I was looking for something with a little more staying power. In addition, I wear size 11 womens' shoe and find that the wrap is a little big. I have to really cinch up the velcro straps and then I get some areas where it doesn't touch my foot or ankle. The wrap may be on the XL side.

5Therapy  Dec 13, 2007
By Pamela S. Banfield
This is the exact product I use with my physical therapy for a broken ankle with 2 surgeries. I will be using this product long term. This is the best cold therapy I have found. Since it is used by my therapy, I feel it is the best on the market. Thank you.

5Great for Shoulders Too  Apr 12, 2007
By Linda E. Manzer "Fit Brit"
My chiropractor lent me hers after I had arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Even though it's designed for ankles, it works great on the shoulder also. I felt that it stayed cold long enough and was really impressed in the supple flexibility of the material. Unlike other ice packs I'd used which only touched part of the area, it really made contact and could be adjusted in many ways with the velcro. I would highly recommend this product -- I'm buying my own today!

5Great ankle wrap  Aug 08, 2009
By DJC
This wrap is great for a 15 min ice down of the ankle. However, if you are looking for something to ice down for longer than 15 mins you might want to look for another product. This one holds a nice cold temp for 15 maybe 20 mins, but not much longer than that.

I have a size 13 foot and it still fits well and covers the ankle fully. It is soft on the skin and the elastic band w/ velcro can get it as tight as you like.

3Cold Pack for sprained ankle  Jun 27, 2009
By Big Foot
After my physical thearapist used a cold pack on my ankle I went out to buy one. The one she used was an NBA version with alot of velcro and several insertable gelpacks. It cost about $100. This was about half that cost and was about half as good. The fit ws not as tight, the cold was not as cold and the length it stays cold was not as long. The bottom line is that this works,,,,and you get what you pays for. For a short term usage it was great --if you are going to be using it for several weeks --I would spend the extra $50 and get what the professioanl basketball players use.
