Great Product. Easy to use and convienent. No more ice cubes which discourages you to ice an injury. This sleeve molds to your shoulder and is very comfortable. When done just place it back in the freezer for your next use. Discovered it at my physical therapist office and he recommend I buy one. Price varies but found it on amazon for a great deal. I recommend this product for anyone who needs to ice shoulder or ankle after activity. Can't go wrong.

Good idea, but not the best fit Nov 01, 2008

This product is heavy and bulky, though honestly its design is probably as efficient as possible. I should have looked for a child's size, as the small/medium is too big for me and as a result the adjustable straps create pockets wear the vest doesn't touch the skin. It's a great product, no doubt about that - but be aware that it's larger than it looks; it fits snugly on the model, but not on a small frame. I'm keeping it because my husband might need it someday.

This is my second Elasto-gel purchase. I really like it. I only used the first one for ice therapy - by putting it in the freezer for 2 plus hours. I decided to get this second one because I wanted to use the heating function, and the other product I had for this purpose caught fire in the microwave (I like to alternate back and forth, so I needed a second product while one is in the freezer, and I can heat the second one). I have now used this shoulder sleeve several times as a heating device. You put it in the microwave for approximately 60 seconds on each side, and the warmth lasts for about 20-30 minutes. It is very soothing if you like warmth on an injury. I alternate freezing and heating my shoulder. I asked the physical therapist if it was an issue to use heat in addition to the cold, and was told that whatever makes you feel better is okay. I like the even way that the Elasto-gel material heats and it drapes nicely on the shoulder. In my opinion, it is a really good product for my purposes (as set forth above) and I recommend it to anyone who wants to apply ice or heat therapy for your shoulder.

This product is great. It covers both the front and back of the shoulder down to your elbow, which makes it perfect for me. It is a little heavy, but that is to be expected due to the size and the area it covers. I keep mine in the freezer so it's always ready. I love it!

If you have anyone that plays baseball -- this is a must! It was recommended by a friend who is a licensed/certified athletic trainer. If you know anyone who puts a lot of stress on their shoulder/rotator cuff area, this product is what they need! It was very reasonable in cost and has proved worth every penny!
