Purchased this item after my mother injured her upper back. (Sat in a dental chair for 4 hours & tweeked her shoulders/shoulder blade area). She kept this in the freezer & used it several times per day. Helped reduce the inflammation. It has adjustable straps making it easy to use. It can be folded & placed around the neck for neck strain as well. It is a little heavy for a small structured person, but it covers alot of area & the straps keep it in place. She really likes it. Very durable, functional & easy to use. She is only 5'2" about 105#, petite. This covers her whole back & wraps towards the front some. This is a small. Perfect choice for her small frame. Be aware it has some weight to it. We own 3 other sizes & love this mfg!

I had this for over a year and can't be more happy with this product. It is well made, very comfortable and covers my entire back. Before I had to use a small pack and move it around which was an inconvenience. Works great right out of the freezer or heating (2 mins per side in the microwave).
If you have your problem areas in the upper/middle back area, don't hesitate to buy this. It's also nice that you can wear this vest and get things done around the house.

I bought this item for my dad who has suffered with back pain for most of his days.. I am pleased to say that this product has eased my father's back aches and is easy to use.

Makes a very poor cold pack. I don't know if that's typical for this Elasto-Gel material, but contrary to what's claimed for this product, it quickly warms to just cool within 5-10 minutes after taking it out of the freezer.
Great Therapy For Ice Or Heat Dec 01, 2011

I have had arthritis for many years, even as a child, when the weather changes. There is nothing more soothing than warmth on an aching back. This product does the trick. It is easy to heat in the microwave, and if you need ice relief instead, it is easy to freeze in the freezer. The heat lasts about 20-30 minutes (and the ice therapy about the same - maybe a little longer) and because of the large size/shape, it can be draped to cover whatever body part you need it for. I really like the material. It is light weight (I know some people say it is heavy, but I think it is perfect) and allegedly will not catch fire (I had another product that I was using for this purpose catch on fire in the microwave). I really am very happy with the Elasto-gel products. This is my third one. I keep two in the freezer and this one out to microwave so I can alternate heat and ice therapy.
