2Cream Puff Pillow!  Feb 26, 2007
By J. Nowicki "The Boss and Mrs. B."

I have used the stress ease pillow support for several months and, while it was fine in the beginning, it is now apparent that the cervical support area has quickly weakened with use. I am one who needs more substantial neck support and, because of that, I would not buy this pillow again. The Duro-Med Full Size 3-Zone Cervical Comfort Pillow needs breaking in but was a much better choice for me to use. ~ Mrs. B.

5We love it!  May 13, 2007
By R. Corley
Our chiropractor suggested this pillow for my husband and I since we had so much neck and shoulder pain. It is a wonderful product! Great for either back or side sleepers. In fact, we just purchased another one. The firmness tends to lessen after a year, but it's not bad to replace it since it is so reasonably priced on Amazon.

2uncomfortable pillow  Apr 11, 2011
By Angela Evans
I suffer from very painful neck spasms that I think are partially attributable to odd head placements when I sleep. The design of the Duro Stress-Ease Pillow keeps your head nestled in its own little valley. The sides of the pillow are elevated so if you turn your neck while sleeping, your neck will be kept from straining too far to one side. This is a nice concept but not necessarily well-executed because the concave portion of the pillow has the elevated sides all the way around, including where the user's neck is positioned. The Duro Stress-Ease pillow is solid -- and fairly tall -- pillow that doesn't give much when weight is applied so the user's neck is sitting on a hard, elevated portion of the pillow and then the head dips down. The design would have been better if the manufacturer had 1) inserted a "U" shape on one side of the pillow to cradle the neck and/or 2) not made the pillow so tall and firm.

As noted this pillow is not soft. I'm not fond of hard beds and I'm especially displeased with pillows that could be used as weapons if thrown. A pillow designed to keep your head in one place needs some level of firmness but this is a super compressed/hard pillow. There are people that love generously stuffed pillows and this particular product may be perfect for you if you suffer from neck issues and can handle the way the pillow positions the neck.

This product is made in the United States.

4Strange but good!  Jan 18, 2008
By Angela M. Cunnane "Angela the Brit"
This pillow looks very odd, high sides and a hollow in the middle! When I first lay on it I thought it was straining my neck but slept on it anyway and I am so glad I did, it is great for my neck. I had been sleeping on a Tempurpedic pillow but felt I needed more support and this is way better for me, especially as I have sleep apnea and when I turn over my mask fits in the hollow perfectly, so all in all good buy.

5Greatly reduced my headaches and neck pain  Feb 22, 2011
By Michelle
I am 99% of a side sleeper and this is great! I have chronic inflammation in my neck and shoulders and this has greatly helped to reduce the pain. The other reviews that mention ear pain are right, but you just have to learn to pay attention to how your ear is laying on the pillow. I wholeheartedly recommend this product!
