5It works for me!!  Jan 22, 2007
By Bette C.
I recently purchased this Tricor pillow in the hopes of relieving several weeks of neck and shoulder pain. It supports your neck but keeps your head flat and in line with your spine. Your head is not tipped up at a different angle than your spine. I was quite surprised that after my first night's sleep on it, I woke up with about 50% of the pain gone. After just a few days, I am back to normal. I can sleep on my side as well as on my back comfortably. It does seem a bit hard at first, but I have been used to soft pillows and the neck support is great. I did make my own pillowcase because a standard size pillowcase (at least mine) were a bit tight for the head indentation to fit loosely. If I would have kept the standard pillowcase, I still would recommend it.

5Worked for me  Apr 27, 2008
By W. Craycroft
I've had this pillow for nearly 2 months now. Previously, I was having episodes of very stiff and painful neck and upper back during sleep, continuing during the day. These episodes would come every few weeks and last for a week or so. Upon starting to use the pillow, there was immediately temporarily relief from pain when I nestled my head in the pillow's depression and remained on my back. It was apparent that the pillow's support was directly affecting the painful area in a positive way. After about a week of use, the current episode of pain and stiffness was gone. So far, no further episodes have occurred. After that first week, I allowed myself to sleep on my sides, but always with my head supported by the depression in the pillow. Two months is not quite long enough to conclusively prove that the pain episodes will not return, but so far so good! I highly recommend this pillow.
By the way, when I received the pillow, I immediately ripped off the plastic wrapping before reading the notice that, once this wrapping is removed, the pillow cannot be returned. I seem to have won this "bet", but if you order this pillow, leave the plastic on it for a few days until you see if it will work for you.

5Look at the sizes available!  Feb 20, 2009
By Relax Today
I purchased my first tri-core standard pillow through my chiropractor over 2 years ago. It is bulky and does not fit well in some of my pillow cases. I had them order the travel sized (child or petite pillow). It is awesome; a much better fit for me than the standard. I have had it almost a year. My husband keeps stealing it from me so I am ordering the midsize now and I bet that will be perfect for him.
Take a look at your neck and try to figure out just how much lift you like to have under your neck. The standard size is bit large for both of us. I am a long necked 5'7" and he is 5'10".
The online price is much less than my chiropractor charges.
I use an allergy encasement so I don't wash the pillow often--only once a year.
Another reason to get the midsize or small is there is room for a cold or hot pack (but no pouch for it). With the standard (large) size, adding anything makes it uncomfortable.

5What a surprise!  Nov 04, 2009
By Mare Hilchey
I have always used 2 down pillows and often would wake up with a stiff, sore neck. I would also spend a lot of time punching and adjusting my pillows. When this one arrived, I had just returned from a VERY long travel day consisting of 3 flights over 32 hours. I was exhausted, and fell into bed to try the new pillow out. I didn't move all night and slept like a rock. I wasn't sure, though, if it was just because I was so tired. So the next several nights, I kept sleeping really well, and found that I was hardly moving around at all. I was sold on this pillow at that point, and now plan to have one sent to my parents house so that I will have one there when I visit them. I have no interest in sleeping without it!! The only problem with it is that it's not good for propping up to watch a movie or reading~ so I keep my old ones around for those times.
I was surprised how firm the pillow is, but it's so supportive, it really is wonderful.

3Nice  Nov 13, 2008
By Michelle
I really like this pillow. It has helped me with my neck pain from the first night. The only thing I don't like about it is it's a little too hard. I put a thin feather pillow over it and it's much more comfortable. Almost perfect. I suggest the company make a "pillow top" covering for it. That way the firmness wouldn't be lost, but there would be a little bit of cushioning to make it more comfortable.
