Best ice wrap I've had... Aug 07, 2010
By BonesighNYC This knee ice wrap recently arrived, and I am very pleased with it. The physical appearance of the wrap is different than the photo in the item description. Mine is lime green fleece and has two blue wrap-around straps. No matter, this is a great wrap. Very comfortable, even cooling completely around the knee, and it's large so it completely wraps around my knee (I'm a big guy). It is well built and looks like it will last some time. I initially thought the internal ice packs could not be changed when necessary, but upon closer examination, found that they can. I had total knee replacement back in June, and have been using a combination of ice packs and towels (to insulate my skin from the ice packs) since I came home. This wrap greatly simplifies things, and completely ices the entire knee: front, back, and sides simultaneously. I'm going to bring this one to work and order another for home use. Hats off to Brown Medical for a great, American made product.

Easy to use, no mess Feb 27, 2011

"Big Guy"
I am a big guy with a big knee and this product works well. Take it out of the freezer, wrap it around the knee and attach the velcro. Last about an hour, good for about 30 minutes on each knee. Wraps all the way around the knee so you get iced all around.Nothing gets wet, clean and simple to use.

Great ice wrap Jan 12, 2010
By S. Warfield After just having a total knee replacement, this Polar Ice Knee Wrap served me very well, and I'm still using it since I'm not quite 3 months out from surgery. I still have some pain and a bit of swelling, so this wrap is great to put on over a kitchen towel or a hand towel. The directions recommend not putting it directly on the skin because it's just too cold and damage could occur.
I recommend this for anyone having surgery where ice is going to be needed, especially for a knee or leg. Over a thin towel, it could be laid over a shoulder, but it's made for the knee.

Nice Product May 05, 2009
By J. Piper So far, so good. I use it for my cranky knees after biking and running. The one drawback is that you can't bend your knee with it on (to walk around) but...the cold is uniform and gets the job done. My old wrap felt colder at first...but...it was actually too cold. Somehow this one keeps a uniform chill level for the full 12-15 minutes I have it on.

Just one thing I didn't think of... Nov 06, 2011

"Reader In Bulk"
I bought a couple of these to replace some that I had been using for years. The old ones had pouches of the freezing gel that you could take out of the wrap and put in the freezer separately and the pouches had started to leak after about five years. These new ones are very effective. They seem to stay colder longer and the wrap fits better and more securely. The one drawback is that the pouches are sewn in permanently and you have to put the whole thing in the freezer. When I put these on after a run, I'm generally soaked in sweat, so they're wet with sweat and condensation when I take them off. I've learned to let them sit out and dry off before they go back in the freezer, otherwise they're covered in ice and frost the next time I use them. I'm also wondering about how they'll do in the washing machine, cuz they're gonna need that sometime soon. I'll update the review after I've tried. Overall, they're excellent at providing deep, thorough cold therapy to my knees, but it would be nice to be able to take the gel out and wash the cover separately.
