Super Comfy - but not a brace May 18, 2010

I am using the product to get extra swelling out from my ankle. I rolled my ankle awhile back and recovery is taking awhile. I will also be using this when I go on jogs and work out in general to prevent swelling of my ankle. I have had it for a day and it is extremely comfortable. It has silicon pads on both the inside and outside of the ankle bones and the compression is quite perfect assuming you measured your ankle right and purchased the right size support. I will write more after having used it for a bit.

However, there is little in terms of support to prevent the ankle from rolling. I will not be using this for basketball or any other 'contact' sports where having to break and change speed quickly is needed. The MalleoLoc is probably better suited for that and will be tested soon.

Pros: Effective, Stabilizes, Easy To Use, Comfortable
Cons: Provides Little Support in terms preventing ankle rolling/sprains

This item is awesome for anyone who has had issues with ankle swelling. The only drawback is sizing. I measured in the middle range for the size 4, however it fit huge and I had to return it for the smaller size.

This was prescribed to me by my doctor for my weak ankle and swelling. It's the best brace I've had and much better than the over the counter versions. I wear a size 6.5-7 womens shoe and fit great in size 1.

This is a really excellent design, fits great, looks great, and is very comfortable. Although, I don't think this should be advertised as a medical support brace. If you want to wear for comfort or to help reduce swelling on your ankle, it's perfect. The viscoelastic inserts squish like marshmellows, there is no support.
