2This product is perfumed  Aug 07, 2009
By Paul D.
The product was physically what I wanted, but it was saturated with a strong "synthetic fruity" perfume, built into the plastic to mask the smell of the vinyl. I couldn't tolerate the fragrance and had to return it. The seller gave me a refund, and a free shipping return label, so I can't complain about service. But anyone who has intolerances to fragrances should be aware that all these Ball Dynamic products are saturated with perfume -- which will take much much longer to dissipate than the vinyl smell would on its own.

5comfortable seating  Jan 19, 2008
By Ann
I am both a physical therapist and a person with back pain. I learned about this product at a continuing education seminar I took for my profession. If you have pain in your butt or low back when sitting, this cushion will make sitting less uncomfortable (note I did not say pain free). People without pain also like it for it's softness. One caution: The cushion is only 13" wide, although it squishes a little wider than that when you sit on it. Therefore, it is not big enough for people with wide hips.

3So So  Dec 28, 2007
By Delaney
This is better as a back support than a sitting wedge. It's weird and really tall to sit on. I'm 5'9" I don't need another 2 inches to my sitting height. The wedge is nice as a back support though.

After having used it more often I have a few more gripes, this little baby is a sweat creator, now that I've used it for longer periods of time and at different inflation levels, this thing one makes your butt feel dead after you sit on it awhile. Two whether sitting on it or using it for a back rest it creates an awful lot of heat.
If I could edit my stars, we'd be going down to a 1.5, this is not nice for long periods of time.

5I really love this wedge!  Sep 01, 2009
By William Zola
I bought this wedge on the recommendation of my chiropractor, who suggested using a wedge for sitting in the car and at the office. I test-sat a variety of other wedges, and I really really like this one. Unlike every foam-based wedge that I tried, it is strong enough to support me without collapsing under my weight. (I'm only 160 lbs or so, but the other ones I tried either collapsed almost completely when I sat on them or seemed like they'd collapse completely after a week or so of hard use.)

This guy really works in the car to tilt my pelvis forward and to cushion me from the impacts of bumps and road shocks.

Pros:
- Inflatable cushion means that it won't collapse under my weight
- Because it's inflatable, I can fine-tune the amount of support and lift to my taste
- Cushions me from road shocks and impacts

Cons:
- Horrible tacky color and (as another poster mentioned) smell
- The wedge is definitely on the small side for sitting on. In the car when going around curves, I have to brace myself from falling off

Overall, a great value and works almost exactly the way I'd like it to. If I could take a 1/2 star off for being too small, I would. I don't think you're going to get this kind of support unless you're willing to spend three times as much for memory foam.

3No instructions but tons of legal info and what NOT to do!  Jul 29, 2009
By Bay Lady "Bay Lady"
The information included in the plastic wrap is all legalize - what not to do with it, cautions, inherent risks, etc: "LLC shall not be liable for any damages that result from the use of an inflatable cushion."

There is no information on how to use it, how to inflate it or deflate it. The packet did include a nifty white gadget that I figured out was to help pull out the pin where you can then put in the tip of a pump. The problem is that I bought a Tachikara ball inflator pump...but it won't work with this item so now I have to buy another pump.

I am a size 14 and it is too narrow for my buttochs and it is uncomfortable - I feel the cushion's edges before my butt ends! The woman in the photo is thinner than I am, so the cushion works for her in the photo.

So I'm tring this as a lumbar support before returning it. I tried it like the photo demonstrates, with the wider portion down and the thinner portion up, and that was really uncomfortable. Now I have it with the wider end up and thinner end down and it is a bit more comfortable, but I would have purchased a lumbar support that attaches to the back of the chair if I wanted a lumbar support.
