 Excellent for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome May 25, 2009

My fingers started going numb/tingling; I didn't worry too much. When the shooting pain from my thumb to my elbow started I knew it was time to do something.
I did wrist exercises and received a cortizone shot, nothing seemed to stop the pain. I have had this for just over 24 hours and my hand feels so much better, no pain. I also have an appointment with an occupational therapist, but this make it so much more bearable. Good Luck to all of you going through this. PS: Of course I am typing this, which I shouldn't be doing.

The brace does the job and can be used on either the right or left forearm/wrist. It has the perfect tension and support for my small wrists and arms. I Love It!!!!!

I am a two finger typist (index finger on each hand). As such, there isn't an easy ergonomically sound way to type. Consequently, every 2 to 3 years, I suffer a bout of carpal tunnel.
Anyone who has endured this knows that there is discomfort and action needs to be taken. Surgery, of course, is an option, but I don't like going that route unless necessary.
And what I have found is that a specific set of exercises for my wrist plus use of one of these braces does the trick. I have probably gone through about 3 episodes of carpal tunnel syndrome. Each time, the treatment package has ended the siege of discomfort.
So, I'm sold on the combination of this brace plus exercise as a way of dealing with this problem.

I wear one on each hand while sleeping. I'm amazed at the difference in my fingers when I wake up in the morning. I ordered this product from Amazon for my Mother and sister. This brace is a bit longer than some others, but stabilizes the wrist very well and the fact that it can be worn on either hand is a big plus. The brace is very well constructed as the one my Mother previously had lasted for more than 5 years with almost nightly wear.
