3Shorter than I thought  Oct 26, 2005
By whatithink
The dimensions are 17"Lx10"Wx7"H. 17" is just enough so your legs don't fall off if you are awake, but I wish it were longer. I wanted to use it for sleeping and if you lean or roll to one side your legs will definitely come off. The picture (which seems to change) is/may be deceiving. Tip: 17 inches might be the distance from fingertip to elbow; check it out. The foam is pretty firm but comfortable enough. The blue fabric cover comes off which I assume is washable.

3Too short unless you are a child or an elf  Aug 15, 2009
By E S K
I didn't realize how short this thing is. It should be advertized as child sized. It seems too short to work unless I tie my knees together maybe so one doesn't slip off.

5Post-surgical gem  Jul 28, 2008
By J. Sobecki "pianoman"
We purchased the duro-med elevating leg rest in an attmpt to make my daughter a bit more comfortable after spinal fusion surgery. This small purchase did more good than anything we tried- other pillows, different positions, etc. The pentagonal shape was perfect to put her legs and spine in a comfortable position. She wouldn't go anywhere in the house without it, and it helped ease her back pain whether lying down or sitting in a recliner. Very highly recommended.

3Wish I'd read the reviews  Sep 23, 2010
By reg
Every time I buy something without reading the reviews, I regret it. This is definitely one of those situations. The picture perspective definitely makes the pillow look much longer than it is. Even the picture on the package makes it look like you should have at least 6 inches on both sides extending from your legs. I got out my tape measure. The length I measured was 16", not the 17" listed in the product description. I held the tape measure over my legs and I measured 16" there too. I'm not a petite person, but I don't think 6" would extend out on both sides if I was a 3 year old. If you want to use this while sleeping, I would suggest getting two of these, one for each leg. The pillow is quite firm, but does compress more easily on the ends, which is where your legs end up resting. If you are using it while awake, one pillow would probably do.

2not what i expected  Jul 23, 2010

The picture showed a pillow that seemed to be wide enough to rest both legs easily
NOT! it was not as comfortable as the one they gave for my cat scan. cheap and speedy delivery though. gathering dust right now.
