Tendonitis relief Nov 29, 2010
By TexasGal I purchased 2 wrist wraps after my orthopedist told me to ice both wrists twice a day to treat tendonitis. I tried applying various ice packs I already had, but nothing worked well. The Active Wrap works just as advertised. With velcro closures at wrist and across my hand, it stays secure for a 20-minute treatment. Because the Active Wrap is easy to apply, I will actually use it at least once a day. Each wrap comes with 2 ice packs. I only use one pack per wrist, so I always have 2 waiting in the freezer. I cut up an extra tea towel to place between my skin and the ice-cold pack.

Great Buy! Jan 27, 2009
By Vaughn I suffer from tendonitis. It is extremely difficult to ice my wrist while working. This makes it possible for me to continue working and ice my wrist at the same time. I even use it when watching TV. It is much more comfortable than holding an ice pack to my wrist for 20 min at a time. If you are in the need to ice several times a day I definitely recommend this product as it is convenient, comfortable, & holds cold and heat well. Well worth the investment.

Great product Jun 07, 2009
By mama bear With today's busy lifestyle, who has time to sit with an ice pack on? These active wraps are a wonderful convenience! I have injuries to both my wrists and between work, physical therapy and kids, don't have a lot of time to sit and ice my injuries. These allow me to continue to go about my day. They're a little heavier and bulkier than traditional braces, so you can't do everything with them on, but then you don't wear them 24/7 either. As a caution, the ice packs get extremely cold (too cold) if you don't leave them in the protective sleeves in the freezer.I have found that leaving them in the outer wrap as well will help to limit the cold and prevent burning the skin. Another suggestion is to cut the foot off an old sock, put a thumb hole in the tube portion and slip it on under the wrap. This makes it much easier to get on than putting a towel underneath. I have not tried the heat yet.

Good for icing Sep 11, 2010
By M. Turner I bought this product because I have carpel tunnel. It's good for icing but there is not much stiffness to it without the ice packs. It's pretty adjustable and fairly comfortable. I just think I'll only use it for icing. As someone did say the ice packs are very cold! This usually subsides after a few minutes...duh, it's ice. Haven't tried heating it.
VERY IMPORTANT: This is ONLY one wrist band. Easily flippable for either right or left hand but it is NOT a pair like some of the reviews here suggest. Wasn't too psyched to find that out after receiving it.
POSITIVES: Icing is stable and the wrist band feels complete when ice packs are in. Removing and freezing the ice packs is easy and the velcro allows you to put the ice packs in various positions. Fits either wrist.
NEGATIVES: Provides no real structural support when the ice packs are not in - feels more like a long thick glove. Is a bit bulkier than I'd like. Really was expecting a pair of wristbands but this is only ONE. I think for the price I'd just buy a pair with structural support and ice with a regular ice pack.

Great multi-tasker ice/heat wrap Oct 31, 2011
By ses278 I find this product to be a god send. I can continue working while using the heat pack for my arthritic wrist. The quality of the brace is quite high and I get the sense the velco will hold up for several years. The reduction of one star is the result of the fact that I wish it would stay warmer longer. Keeping it in the microwave longer doesn't work because you will simply burn yourself. Have not used it cold so cannot comment on that.
